Welcome To Kingsbury Primary School

Our current enrolment is 176 students. We serve the local and wider neighbourhoods as well as offering accredited study for international students connected with LaTrobe University. A large number of our students come with a language other than English and we cater to many different nationalities.  The school has 19 staff; this includes 1 Principal, 10 teachers, 6 Education Support staff, 2 Administration officers, 1 Out of School Hours Care Coordinator and 1 Canteen Manager. Our students have the opportunity to access lessons in The Arts, Sport and Physical Education and ICT.   Information and Communication Technology is well supported by a Student Netbook Program for students Grade 3-6.

Kingsbury Primary has clearly defined values of Learning, Teamwork & Collaboration, Safety, Friendship and Respect. Our mission is for each student to become an independent, critical and co-operative learner. The school was established in 1960 to cater for the community along the Plenty Road corridor. The school has celebrated over 50 years of quality education.

During our previous Strategic Plan we reviewed our vision and mission statements, refreshed our logo, redefined our motto and published a "Graduate Profile".  Our continued participation in the 'Curiosity and Powerful Learning' project has enabled us to maintain our focus on building teaching and learning skills and improving student outcomes. In 2017, we have joined with Berry Street to implement the Berry Street Education Model. This is helping our students to develop their personal and inter-personal skills. The school has recently completed its four-yearly School Review and will now set goals and targets for the next four years.
