Term 2 overview;

Prep Physical Education

My name is Jayden Perez and I have recently started at Kingsbury Primary School as the Physical Education & ICT Teacher. I love sports; playing, watching, reading, talking and breathing all types of sport and recreation, and hope to engage the wonderful students here at Kingsbury with a positive relationship with their own sport and recreational endeavours.

In Term 2, students will continue to develop their understanding of expectations and procedures in Physical Education, ensuring their safety and spatial awareness is paramount in all activities. As confidence develops across the cohort, students will begin to increase their Fundamental Motor Skill (FMS) capacity in running, dodging and underarm throwing and catching.

We will also be introducing a ‘Good Sports’ Award program to encourage respect, teamwork, safety, fair play and outstanding effort, where classes will be competing to be the ‘Good Sports of the Week’.  Ask your child to explain this in more detail!
